Bronx is not only the northern part of New York, it is also a series of craft beer pubs in Seoul. Although the pictures in the fake basement windows want you to believe you are looking out over the Hudson river, this Bronx venue is in Yeouido.
On tap there is a decent selection of house beers, as well as a few guest and import taps, pizzas, wings and snacks. Add to that happy hour discounts and a spacious venue, and you have a notably group-friendly bar, with plenty of seating for small and large groups. The interior is industrial and simple, concrete, steel, leather and dark wood make for a cozy atmosphere, but knowing the popularity of Bronx it should get quite lively during peak hours.
Bronx has a few venues around Seoul, and have a selection of reliable craft beers with very competitive prices. Especially during the happy our (before 7), four of the house beers will be only 2500 won each, which is the same as buying a can in the convenience store.
On tap we have a couple of German style beers and some pale ales and a stout, as well as two Goose Island imports. The session IPA is balanced and dry, mildly hopped and well carbonated, and the Golden Ale is bready, sweet, mild and tasty. Our beers of choice go well with the pizza, which is oily, but not as salty as other similar bars. The serving is big and you can combine different toppings, perfect for sharing. There is also the usual cheese and tabasco self-service counter if you want to head to that part of Flavortown.
